Wild Storms

“I am scared”

“Scared of what?” — she asked.

“Love” — he answered quietly.

“But how can you be scared of something that has already happened!” — she exclaimed with frustration clear in her tone.

He spoke with a pain etched between his eyebrows — “I know that ship has sailed and the storms that are going to follow us soon makes my heart burn. The thought that this, this what is helping us stay afloat can sink, will sink & I will see our world, destroy in front of my eyes. I…I….!!”  — He paused. He felt his heart rupture and could barely whisper —“We are sailing into destruction. If we continue this way, we ARE going to drown.”

“Then I will happily drown. The safe lands never fascinated me anyway.” — She replied softly, while the tears flooded her eyes and a sad smile on her trembling lips.

All she wanted was to close her eyes while he held her and the time to freeze forever. She wasn’t afraid. She knew that if they drown, they will find each other again; in another life, in another world.

But first they had to take that plunge together and have faith that their love…this love would save them both. Alone they would sink, but together! together they would find their happily ever after. And together they were meant to be. She knew it, they both did.

“Hold my hand and never let go” — He said.

“I am never letting you go”
